Our Mission
For over twenty years, Fulcrum Financial Services has provided asset management services to qualified individuals, institutional investors and foundations. Our services range from traditional portfolio management to venture investment in local startups from the greater Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill area. We have led or participated in financing rounds for technology spin-offs from Duke, UNC, and NC State University research laboratories, in such diverse fields as metabolytics, microfluidics, next-generation textiles, advanced cellular networks, applied low coherence interferometry, applied raman spectroscopy, and aquatic safety.
Our Philosophy
At Fulcrum, we believe in investing towards a better future. Our philosophy guides our investment process, and accordingly we favor venture candidates whose potential includes not only positive financial returns, but also positive societal returns. We look for companies that can make money and contribute to making the world a better place. Finally, we recognize that, historically, the venture community has a poor track record of financing projects in under-served communities. At Fulcrum, we support women and minority-owned and managed businesses and encourage qualified venture candidates to consider us as potential investment partners.
